DICOM is the most standard way to exchange images in medical applications. From start MedicalStudio has always had a very basic support of this format, only by file browser. That was not very usable.
A new support is currently implemented into the framework. Full support of image modalities and networking options of the standard are planned. At this moment, a simple worklist manager has been implemented and allows to browser series by patient's name, or other tags found in the header. Another tool also implemented allows to browse all the tags of an instance file.

If you want to give it a try, please install the medicalstudio-dicom package and it will come to your installed MedicalStudio. Only a linux binary version is available at the moment.
